The director- general of the World Health Organization( WHO) has advised against a further deadly complaint than COVID- 19. At the periodic United Nations General Assembly in Geneva, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus prompted countries to make the necessary reforms to prepare for the coming epidemic.
Worldwide, the corona has killed nearly 7 million people and continues to claim lives every day as vaccination rates decline. He argued that while Covid is still a trouble, it isn't the only one the world has to face. The darkest days of the epidemic are considered over, but Dr. Ghebreyesus said the coming day should" knock down." After ending the global exigency status for Covid, he stressed "We can not protest this can down the road. If the world doesn't prepare for the coming attack of epidemic also the outgrowth is going to be worst than ever anticipated. The world leaders should be ready to face the unanticipated and answer the world."
The 10- day periodic World Health Assembly, which coincides with the WHO s 75th anniversary, is set to address global health challenges including unborn afflictions, eradicating polio and way to ease Ukraine s health exigency touched off by the war. Members of the World Health Organization are now drafting a new epidemic convention which will be released and likely to be adopted at then next assembly." This generation's commitment is important because they've endured how terrible a small contagion can be," Ghebreyesus added. At the same meeting, countries approved a budget of $6.83 billion for 2024- 2025, a decision that tests the country's amenability to revise a backing model supposed too small and too dependent on benefactors. The budget includes a 20 % increase in benefactions from member countries.
